Bell County was recognized by NACo for their Indigent Health Care Collaborative within the community. This collaboration has reduced the reliance on local emergency departments for primary care and has increased both regular and preventive care for its patients. It has also reduced the cost of indigent health care by over half compared to just two years ago when the collaborative was initiated by Program Director Ebony Jackson. Bell County Judge David Blackburn was in attendance to receive the Achievement Award on behalf of the Indigent Health Care Department.
Indigent Healthcare Solutions has worked extensively with Bell County’s Indigent Health Care Department for years and we were honored to be in attendance for the award ceremony as well. We were pleased to see our friends and these long-time IHS clients receive recognition for their ongoing efforts to serve their community.
